Building an autonomous real-time GPS tracker
The GPSTracker is powered by a lithium battery which is charged via a 12V car socket. The GPS receiver is integrated in the Telit GE863-GPS board which runs (compiled) python code natively.
The tracker locates the current position on a configurable interval and transmits its data in real-time via the built-in GPRS modem (using a cheap M2M data plan) to a server. Antenna for GPS and GSM need to be attached externally.
